Yes. Georgia Mass Band does not provide instruments. All members are responsible for securing and bringing their own instrument to every practice and performance.

We do  ask that participants at least be in high school or higher; however, with parental consent we do allow younger members to participate. High schoolers and under must pass our audition BEFORE participating.

Practices are held from late May through early July, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

The membership fees, or band dues, cover paraphernalia and travel for the entire season. 

*NOTICE: Shirts and travel are prioritized for performing members.*

Membership dues are $60 from April 2, 2027 through June 12. Beginning June 13, dues increase to $80 for late registration. Beginning June 19, dues increase to $100 as the final late registration fee.

Membership dues will no longer be accepted after June 25, 2027.

Membership dues can be paid using any of the following methods:

• Cash or Tap to Pay

We do not accept Cash App.

If paying digitally, please include your full name and instrument in the payment notes.

Please register before submitting your membership dues.

No. As stated in the membership registration form, membership dues are non-refundable. Please make sure you are able to fully commit before submitting your payment.

Our staff handles all official music writing.

You’re welcome to submit an arrangement if you’d like feedback, However, to even be considered for something that might be presented to the band, you must:

• Have completed at least one full season with us

• Include both audio and a PDF (or Finale/MuseScore file). If we can’t see and hear it, we won’t look at it.

Even if all requirements are met, please keep in mind that we’re not actively looking for outside arrangements. Member submissions are rarely selected, but we’re happy to offer feedback if requested.
