Antonio Alexander serves as Co-Founder, Director, and Arranger of Georgia Mass Band, Inc. He attended Jackson State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. During his time at Jackson State, he marched five years in the renowned “Sonic Boom of the South,” serving as Mellophone Section Leader and Student Arranger. While there, he arranged notable selections including Mt. Olympus, Scared of the Dark, The Hills, and many more.
Although Antonio did not earn a degree in Music Education, that did not hinder his growth as a highly respected arranger. He continues to push boundaries with his musical creativity and versatility, producing acclaimed arrangements such as Disney’s "King of Pride Rock" and "No One Mourns The Wicked". His musical interests span a wide range of genres, including rock, film scores, classical, and trap rap. He is especially drawn to immersive music, citing Hans Zimmer as his all-time favorite composer.
A Georgia native, Antonio has been involved in marching band for most of his life. Inspired by watching his aunt perform at Towers High School, he began his own journey playing snare drum before transitioning to mellophone, eventually graduating from Riverdale High School in 2012. He developed an interest in arranging during his junior year of high school, building on an already strong foundation in music composition. Over time, he refined his skills in chord progressions and voicing, applying them to the marching arts. Since then, he has arranged for numerous high schools and collegiate programs.
Antonio currently serves as Assistant Director and Arranger at Texas Southern University, while continuing his leadership as Director of the Georgia Mass Band.
Outside of music, Antonio is an accomplished graphic designer with expertise in animation, logo design, and video editing. He is also a proud member of the Red Dawg Order, Inc. and Kappa Kappa Psi.
