Elijah Thompson

Elijah Thompson serves as a Co-Founder/Director of the Georgia Mass Band. Born in Savannah, GA he later moved to DeKalb County where he graduated from Southwest DeKalb High School in 2012; playing trumpet in their band. He later went on to pursue a Bachelors of Computer Science from Jackson State University where he also marched in their band for 5 years and served as a Trumpet Section Leader.

Playing trumpet has really paved the way for Elijah. Partcipating in many ensembles including but not limited to Orchestra Noir, ATL Junkanoo Group, Legacy Band, and the newly founded Atlanta Hawks Band. He also toured across the USA with the Drumline Live Band. Outside of his ensembles, he currently works as a Business Analyst for Primerica. 

He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc and also a member of the Red Dawg Order, Inc.
