Matthew Buggs
Co-Founder/Director/Arranger
Matthew Buggs serves as a Co-Founder/Director/Arranger of the Georgia Mass Band, Inc. A native of Stone Mountain, GA, he started playing trumpet in 7th grade and continued through and after his matriculation throughout school. A former member of the Miller Grove High School "Marching Wolverines", he attended DeKalb Early College Academy where he received his High School Diploma and Associates degree in General Studies in May of 2012.
Upon graduating he enrolled in THEE Jackson State University to study Music Education. At JSU he became a member of the "Sonic Boom of the South", serving from 2012 to 2016. He graduated Jackson State University in December of 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance.
He is a member of the Red Dawg Order, Inc. and a spring 2016 initiate of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
